DESCRIPTION
Little Bro is a small brown puppy Mars adopted after saving him from being ran over by a careless driver. Mars treats the puppy as his own brother, thus naming him "Little Bro".
Like Mars, Little Bro is a robot built with intentions of being used as a weapon. Secretly a bomb, he was deployed by Niningashikaku and Z. Zazu in order to assassinate an unnamed person of importance in Japan. Instead, he met Mars, who took him in with kindness. It's claimed by Niningashikaku that if the bomb inside of Little Bro were to detonate, the resulting explosion would supposedly be so powerful that it could collapse an entire building.
Eventually Dr. Kawashimo, Dr. Yamanoue, and Miri discover this terrible secret. Just then, Niningashikaku and Z. Zazu make themselves known and threaten Mars' life by giving Dr. Yamanoue, Miri, and Dr. Kawashimo an ultimatum: Return Little Bro or Little Bro will explode and kill Mars.
Either way, Mars would not be able to keep his Little Bro.

Little Bro's Japanese name, Otouto (オトウト), is written in Katakana rather than hiragana or kanji.
The plot of the episode that Little Bro appears in, "Goodbye, Little Bro!" (さようならオトウト! Sayōnara otōto!) closely matches the plot of an episode of the 2001 animated series "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!" The episode in question is episode 15, "The Birth of Kirby's Little Brother?" (誕生？カービィのおとうと？ Tanjō? Kābī no otōto? ) In the episode, the titular Kirby is gifted a robot dog which functions as a bomb, which sacrifices itself to save Kirby from its own detonation. In both stories, the dog is seen as a little brother by the protagonist.
