TRIVIA
The plot of this episode is remarkably similar to the plot of an episode of the 2001 animated series "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!" The episode in question is episode 15, "The Birth of Kirby's Little Brother?" (誕生？カービィのおとうと？ Tanjō? Kābī no otōto? ) In the episode, the titular Kirby is gifted a robot dog which functions as a bomb, which sacrifices itself to save Kirby from its own detonation. In both stories, the dog is seen as a little brother by the protagonist.
