And so Mars went to train some more. In this training, Mars would have to face a number of battle robots. They closed in on Mars, surrounding him.

Mars sprang into action! Pow, kapow! He attacked in a flash!

But at that moment, a puppy had appeared! "Ah! Look out!" Mars cried as a battle robot nearly toppled over on top of it. Mars flew to the rescue, grabbing the puppy just in the nick of time!

"Wow! He's so cute! He's just like the one in the picture book!" Mars exclaimed joyously. "I know! From now on, you can be my brother!"

"How cute!" Mars said in the midst of his training. "I'd love to have a little brother like that!"
At that moment, heat-seeking missiles shot through the air, striking the air car. Boom! Bang! Boom!

"You idiot!" Dr. Yamanoue said, furious. "Had those been real missiles, you'd be blown to bits!"

Mars climbed out from underneath the overturned aircar. "Isn't this puppy cute, Dad?" Mars asked innocently.

"Mars, you needn't read stuff like that!" Yamanoue responded angrily. "Come on, let's do some more training!'

Meanwhile, Mars sat with the puppy at the beach. "Look at that," Mars said, pointing out towards the horizon. "Isn't the sea beautiful at night?"

The puppy was mesmerized by the sight. 

"I see. So this is your first time seeing the sea?" Mars asked the puppy. "I know! Let's go up to the tippy top of that lighthouse with your big brother, okay?"

Mars and his puppy ran up the stairs of the lighthouse. Midway up the lighthouse, the dog waited for Mars. “Hahaha, you can go ahead." said Mars. "Or do you think it's bad to leave your big brother behind?”

"Yamanoue-Kun, that Puppy is a robot," said Dr. Kawashimo, pointing toward the screen. "And what's more, it has a bomb in its belly."

"This is all your fault for giving Mars that picture book!" Dr. Yamanoue responded furiously.

At that moment, two men made themselves known.

"You had better find that puppy quick." one of the men said. "After all, it's our secret weapon."

The puppy pitter-pattered to the aircar. 

"Wait!" Mars cried, chasing after the puppy. "Little brother!" Mars joined the puppy in the aircar, hugging him tightly. "I don't care, I'll die with you!"

"Well, well..." one of the bad guys said, pushing the button. "Looks like you've left us no other choice."

Inside the aircar, the puppy tackled Mars! "Ah! No!!" Mars cried as he was pushed out of the aircar. He hit the ground with a thud.

The puppy flew away in the aircar and shockwaves rippled through the air as the puppy exploded.

"It sure feels good up here, doesn't it?" Mars asked the puppy. "Look at that, isn't the moon so beautiful?"

"Hey, Mars!" Dr. Yamanoue shouted, arriving in an aircar. "Get away from that dog, it's a dangerous robot!"

"No!" Mars shot back. "Even if he's a robot, he's still my brother!"

At that moment, the two bad guys arrived. "You better be good and give us the dog" they threatened, "or we'll explode him at the push of this button!"

"Don't do that!" Mars cried, letting go of his puppy. "Farewell, little brother..."

"They sure are cute..." Mars said, looking at two puppies who were playing by the seaside. "I'm sure they're brothers... Huh. Brothers? I feel like... I may have had a brother, too..."

"I erased Mars' memories." Dr. Yamanoue admitted.

"Yamanoue-kun, how could you--?! N-No... This was for the best. Mars loved that puppy..."

Mars stood there for a long, long time. "This place feels familiar..." Mars said, moonlight glistening over the waters of the vast sea. "A cute little brother..."
